Dora's
Backpack Game
| What you'll need: |
|
|
|
- Small slips of paper (optional)
- Hat or bowl (optional)
- Blindfold
|
- Choose small toys and other items with different
textures and shapes--such as plastic animals, action
figures, and soft stuffed toys--and put them in the
backpack.
- Put the blindfold on the child (or have her close
her eyes) and let her reach into the backpack, pull
out an item, and try to guess what it is.
- Turn this activity into a party game by having guests
choose numbers out of a hat and taking turns reaching
into the backpack. If the child cannot guess what
the item is, offer suggestions. Each child gets to
keep the item she chooses as a prize.

Buzz-Bomb
Balloon
| What you'll need: |
|
|
|
- Arrange children in a circle. All players inflate
their balloon.
- When the adult helper says "1,2,3,GO!"
the players release their balloons in the direction
of the target. If you are having a theme party, use
a picture from the theme as the target center.
- Score 5 points for the closest balloon and 15 points
for a direct hit. This game works well with teams
- each team gets their own colored balloons: red,
blue, green etc. Or you do not need to keep score
at all and just have fun playing the game several
times.
- Give the player who comes the closest a small toy
or party favor as the prize.
